VPC Route Table Entries
A route table entry tells a VPC where to send traffic for a given destination CIDR by mapping it to a target like an Internet Gateway, NAT Gateway, ENI, or VPC peering attachment.
"I want traffic destined for the internet, another VPC, or a specific subnet to actually reach the right place."
A route table entry pairs a destination CIDR block with a target (gateway, instance, attachment) so the VPC networking layer forwards matching packets to that target. Each subnet uses one active route table which decides how its outbound traffic is routed.
