Session externalization (sticky-free patterns)
Store user session state outside application instances so any server can handle any request.
"I don't want my load balancer to always send a user to the same server just because their session lives there."
Session externalization moves session data from app memory to a central store (like DynamoDB or ElastiCache) so requests are stateless at the instance level and no sticky sessions are required.
