103. Transit VPC pattern
A legacy architectural pattern using a centralized transit VPC for hub-and-spoke connectivity before TGW.
AWS (cloud infrastructure)
Transit VPC pattern
A Transit VPC is a centralized AWS VPC that acts as a hub for routing traffic between multiple spoke VPCs and on-premises networks using VPN/routers.
"I want a single place to manage routing and shared services between many VPCs before AWS had Transit Gateway."
A Transit VPC is a hub-and-spoke network design where a dedicated VPC runs virtual routers (or appliances) to connect spoke VPCs and data centers via VPN or VPC peering, centralizing routing and inspection.
