Attaching VPCs, VPNs, Direct Connect gateways, or peering connections to a Transit Gateway as separate attachments.
AWS (cloud infrastructure)
Transit Gateway attachments
A Transit Gateway attachment connects a network resource (VPC, VPN, Direct Connect gateway, or peering) to an AWS Transit Gateway so traffic can route between those resources.
"I need one central router that links multiple VPCs, VPNs, and DX links without creating dozens of peering connections."
A Transit Gateway attachment is a distinct object that represents the connection between the Transit Gateway and a resource (VPC, VPN, Direct Connect gateway, or peering attachment). Each attachment is independently managed, associated with route tables, and controls how traffic flows to and from the Transit Gateway.
