105. High-availability design for Direct Connect and VPN
Using redundant connections, multiple DX locations, and VPN failover for resilient hybrid links.

High-availability design for Direct Connect and VPN
Designing redundant network paths between on-premises and AWS so workloads keep talking even if a link or location fails.
"I need my datacenter to stay connected to AWS even when a provider or link goes down."
High-availability for Direct Connect and VPN uses multiple physical Direct Connect links, multiple DX locations, and automatic VPN failover to ensure continuous hybrid connectivity. It combines active/active or active/standby DX circuits plus IPsec VPNs as backups across different paths and AZ/region-adjacent locations.
