AWS Transit Gateway
A regional network hub that centrally connects VPCs, VPNs, and on-prem networks so traffic can route between them without many point-to-point links.
"I don't want N*(N-1) peering connections between dozens of VPCs — I want one hub that links them all."
AWS Transit Gateway (TGW) is a managed router in a region that attaches VPCs, VPNs, Direct Connect, and Peering to provide centralized route distribution and simplified topology. It maintains route tables and attachments so you avoid many individual peering connections.
