Health endpoints and readiness/liveness probes
Health endpoints are small HTTP or TCP checks an orchestrator uses to decide if your service is ready to receive traffic or should be restarted.
"I don't want the load balancer sending requests to an app that's still starting or just crashed."
Readiness probes tell orchestration when a service is prepared to accept traffic; liveness probes tell it when a service is dead and should be restarted.
