Virtual Private Gateway (VGW)
A Virtual Private Gateway is the VPN endpoint AWS attaches to your VPC so on‑prem or Direct Connect links can route into that VPC.
"I need a single, AWS‑side endpoint my office VPN and private Direct Connect can plug into to reach my VPC subnets."
A VGW is an AWS-managed virtual router that you attach to a VPC to terminate Site-to-Site VPN connections or accept a Direct Connect private virtual interface, enabling private routing between your VPC and external networks.
