Renaming Pivot field labels
Changing the text shown for a PivotTable field without editing the original column header in the source data.
"I want the report to read 'Net Sales' instead of the messy source header, but I don't want to touch the raw data."
Renaming a Pivot field label replaces the displayed caption inside the PivotTable (or field list) while leaving the source table/header unchanged; the Pivot stores that custom caption separately.
