Adding field to Rows area
Putting a field into the Rows area groups the table by that field so each unique value becomes a row group in the PivotTable.
"I want to see subtotals by customer so I can spot my top accounts at a glance."
Drag a field (like Customer, Product, or Date) into the Rows area to create row-level grouping; the PivotTable then shows one row per unique field value (with expandable subgroups if multiple row fields exist).
