Criterion Validity
Criterion validity measures how well an assessment predicts real job performance by checking its correlation with actual performance outcomes.
"If my test says someone is ready, will they actually do the job well?"
Criterion validity is the degree to which test scores are associated with a relevant performance criterion (e.g., supervisor ratings, sales numbers). Higher correlation means the assessment is a better predictor of on-the-job success.
