Construct Validity
Construct validity shows whether a test truly measures the psychological trait or ability it claims to measure for predicting job performance.
"I need to be confident this exercise actually assesses the judgment and problem-solving the role requires, not something else."
Construct validity is evidence that an assessment taps the intended underlying trait (e.g., critical thinking, conscientiousness) and not unrelated skills or test-taking savvy. It combines logical argument, empirical correlations, and pattern of results across groups and situations.
