X‑ray search: filetype
A Google (or search engine) trick that restricts results to specific document types (PDF, DOC, DOCX) to find resumes and CVs quickly.
"I need actual resumes, not LinkedIn profiles — show me PDFs or DOCX files where people upload their CVs."
The filetype: operator limits search results to pages whose URL ends with a particular file extension (e.g., filetype:pdf finds PDFs). Recruiters use it to surface uploaded resumes and CVs that are hosted on personal sites, job boards, or company pages.
