Boolean Search Construction
A method of combining keywords and operators (AND, OR, NOT, quotes, parentheses) to precisely find candidate profiles across search engines and platforms.
"I keep getting hundreds of irrelevant resumes — I need the search to return the 5 people who actually match."
Boolean search construction is the deliberate assembly of keywords, phrases, and operators to include or exclude specific terms so search results match precise candidate attributes. It reduces noise and surfaces passive or niche talent by encoding requirements and trade-offs into the query.
