tsserver and editor tooling for incremental adoption
tsserver is the language server that editors use to provide quick TypeScript/JS features (completion, diagnostics, rename) so you can add typing gradually without breaking your workflow.
"I want better editor help and safer refactors, but I don't want to convert my whole codebase at once."
tsserver is a background process that parses your JS/TS files, understands symbols and types (using tsconfig/jsconfig), and answers your editor's feature requests so you can enable type checks and tool assistance incrementally.
