Protecting routes with middleware
Middleware checks a request before it reaches your route handler and rejects or forwards it based on authentication/authorization.
"I want only logged-in users (or users with the right role) to reach certain endpoints without repeating checks everywhere."
Middleware is a reusable function that runs before route handlers to inspect the request and either stop it (e.g., return 401/403) or call next() to continue.
