Observability: distributed tracing for frontends
A way to attach and propagate trace IDs and spans from the browser so requests and user actions can be correlated across services.
"I need to follow this user's click from the UI to backend services so I can find where latency or errors happened."
Frontend distributed tracing means generating a trace ID and span IDs in the browser, attaching them to outgoing requests and navigation events, and propagating them through downstream services so the whole user flow can be reconstructed.
