ts-jest vs swc-jest for running TypeScript tests
Two different ways to run TypeScript tests: one compiles with TypeScript (ts-jest) and the other with a fast Rust-based compiler (swc-jest).
"I want fast tests but also correct TypeScript features and source maps when things fail."
ts-jest uses the TypeScript compiler (tsc) to transform test code, preserving full type behavior and diagnostics; swc-jest uses the SWC compiler for much faster transforms but with some differences in TypeScript feature coverage and diagnostics.
